Paul's Story

Paul Rhoades knows he can't erase his crimes, bring back the victims, or ease the suffering of the families of Stacy Baldwin, Nolan Haddon, and Susan Michelbacher. He has struggled with his guilt. He has taken responsibility for his actions. He has tried to do the most he could to make amends, knowing that his efforts will be inconsequential as measured against the loss and pain he has caused.

During his 24 years on Death Row, Paul Rhoades overcame the methamphetamine addiction that had stolen him from his family and friends and, ultimately, led him to Death Row. To make up for what he has done, Paul has been trying his best to improve the lives of his fellow inmates. He does this knowing he will never be free, nor should he be. But he is making a difference, in prison and beyond. He wants their stories to be better than his.
